ow do you get your business on the Internet? Are you taking advantage of new technologies and capabilities that offer expanded opportunities to reach your audience?

It's easier now than ever before.

The Internet is the first truly interactive medium, offering the ability to both disseminate and collect information simultaneously. Your web site can be a publishing channel, sales office or retail outlet, meeting place, information resource, and productivity tool.

Important Factors

Creating a successful web site requires three critical components:

  1. A detailed plan that assesses current and future needs and creates a blueprint for meeting them.
  2. A reliable, responsive, and efficient hosting service that can meet the needs listed in Step 1.
  3. Available resources for site design, development and implementation, as well as continuing site maintenance and content management.
Scriptoria can assist you in all three areas:
  1. Planning & Design: Our extensive experience in design, content management, data conversion, and document repurposing makes us an ideal resource for web site consultation. We can guide you from start to finish, from basic "portal or story board" questions through detailed recommendations for database interfaces and online commerce solutions.
  2. Hosting: Scriptoria LLC is a licensed VAR (value added reseller) of Internet Services by Earthlink, Inc. You get all of the speed, reliability and features offered by Earthlink, plus the benefits of working with a small, client focused company.
  3. Management: Once your site is up and running, we offer our WebMaster Value Plan (WebMVP) to help you keep your site updated and current. Using WebMVP is like having a web master on call—you only pay for the service you need. Putting your web master on retainer (and not on the payroll) also helps keep web related expenses in line.

Quality Control

Quality control is an area of web site development that is often overlooked, simply because it's so easy to publish content online. Broken links, missing graphics, non compliant coding and other problems can keep your message from getting through. In a "worst case" situation they can actually drive visitors away from your site.

Our commitment to quality control benefits you in two ways. First, we work with you during the planning phase to decide which features will add maximum functionality to your site without compromising efficiency. Then we thoroughly test all of the HTML, JavaScript, and other coding until we're sure your pages will appear and perform correctly in the real world.

How thoroughly do we test? The page you're looking at has been tested on four of the most popular browsers in the world. First, we test on the top two browsers: Microsoft's Internet Explorer, and Netscape Navigator. We test on the current versions and on legacy versions (4.x releases and newer). And we don't stop there—we keep abreast of emerging technology, too. We also test pages on the next generation of browsers from Mozilla and Opera.

Finally, we test on different networks and machines. Most of our sites are tested on a minimum of three or four bandwidth configurations (dial-up, DSL, cable internet, etc.) and a minimum of four or five locations (including client offices).

Samples

The best example of our work is this site. We've also included links to some of the other sites we've developed, and those we are currently hosting and maintaining.

Whether you need to launch a new site, update a current site, or find a new hosting service, we have the resources and experience available to help you today.

PGE, Inc. (formerly pgebuilds.com) was designed and implemented by Scriptoria, and was hosted and maintained here, as well. The home page features a "double image swap" mouseover that highlights the many services PGE offers. This site is no longer online, due to a change in company name and status. (Note: because this is a sample site, some links have been disabled.)

Annville Inn (annvilleinn.com) is a robust and sophisticated site featuring floating popup menus, and three separate frame-in-frame sections per page, all of which allow for site-wide updating of timely information by modifying just a few pages. Also features in-line linking to a third party server for interfacing with the Inn's online reservation system. Design, implementation, editorial consultation and maintenance are just some of the services we provide to this site.
